Hi Marty
Here is a bit of Gagnon store history. Just before the store closed its door for the last time I was talking to one of the Gagnon boys. He showed me a photo of the old store. His father was standing outside in front of the building which was decorated with signs advertising soda etc. The upper most sign read Devonshire Light Lunch or Devonshire Restaurant. Does anyone out there remember it as a restaurant ?
One of the things that has stuck in my memory over the years about Gagnons was the pony pulling the wagon to the golf coarse and setting up a bar for the players. This bar was set up it the trees between the 12th and 13th holes.
I also remember the ponies love for beer and can recall Gagnon getting very teed off at the boys for feeding him too much booze. The poor old pony would actually stagger which made it a very long way back down Devonshire Road to home at the end of the day. I probably shouldn't but I still smile whenever that memory pops into my head.

Thanks George V.
Great Memories.
