This little guy is waiting for his mother to deliver lunch.The markings should let you know what he is.
There is a little yellow color on the tip of his tail..
Hi Marty, We are just back from a couple of days in the country where we are as yet beyond the reach of both electricity and wireless networking.
Although it is a risky business I am thinking that your fledgling with the black eye mask and the yellow strip on the tail may well be a Cedar Waxwing. They grow into a bird of great beauty and luckily for us are a fairly common sighting here.

I thought it might have been a baby Cardinal by watching the mother, but you are right. The markings and the yellow tail make it a Cedar Waxwing.
